The nei jia pantheon
At Rose Li East, four martial arts are practiced. Tai Chi, Ba Kua and Xing Yi are the three arts that comprise the Nei Jia pantheon whereas Mizong Chuan, due to its external nature, is seen as a complimentary art - especially for those who wish to advance to practicing Xing Yi.
All three martial arts in the Nei Jia pantheon have their own unique characteristics and forms, but the same fundamental principles unify all three. Practice in the internal martial arts requires insight and exploration into these principles in order to reach a place of simplicity where the mind is settled and a sense of presentness can be achieved. Practice aims to return students to the original essence of what it is to be a human ‘being’.
